Submitted by Matt from The Stereo State. “After a 3 year obsession with Bad Cat amps I decided to sell a bunch of gear to buy one. The company honored my band with an artist deal, and built us an all custom Lynx from the chassis up. I miss a lot of the gear I sold, but I don’t regret it for a split second.”

Agreed, some guitarists need to consider the tonal outcome of their guitar/amp combinations and especially their amp’s EQ… but more than that, musicians and listeners need to WEAR EARPLUGS!
If a guitar tone or some aspect of a guitar tone is so grating on your ears that it hurts to listen, you have two solutions; keep listening until that frequency band of your hearing is damaged...

There needs to be a JCM 900 Holocaust.
Or a law put in to place so that if you run a 4500 or 4100 with single coils and the presence and treble above 1, you get a fine.
